For better or worse, Bariloche is growing. On the front page of today’s local paper, as well as in the ANBariloche.com, there are mentions of big investments in the Bariloche area.

Plans call for over US$300 million dollars in construction in the next few years.

As we have reported previously, several five star hotels such as Hilton, Faena and Hyatt are all planning to develop luxury hotels in the area. In addition, a Jack Nicklaus signature golf course is being proposed.

The articles mention that foreign capital is behind many of these projects.

Let’s hope with the coming of big money, city issues like sewer, garbage, recycling and litter education will be dealt with. Vamos a ver.
