Dinosaur Fossils in Northern Argentina

Another little know fact about this part of the world are that dinosaurs used to roam back in the day, as long as 150 million years ago. “Argentina has the richest and longest-term record for dinosaurs in all of the Southern Hemisphere, a record from the first to the last dinosaurs,” said James I. Kirkland, a state paleontologist with the Utah Geological Survey.

The province of Neuquén, in northern Patagonia, has a few dinosaur museums that have been developed over the last 2 decades. The New York Times published a good article with pictures on “Dinomania” this month.

So, for you dinosaur lovers out there, come on down and check it out.
