Bariloche Rainy Day Activities

Since the forecast is calling for rain all week, I figured it would be a good time to compile a list of activities that are entertaining and will still keep you dry.
Chocolate Museum
Visit the Museo de Chocolate and learn the history and process of Chocolate. Free guided tours beginning at 10am, located just east of the Bariloche City Center on Bustillo.
City Tour
Jump on the happy train and go on a 1.5 hour tour of the city, learning about the architecture and sights around Bariloche. The train departs from next to the Centro Civico, throughout the day. Call 15 513 900 for more information.
Historic Steam Train
Step back in history and ride this 100-plus year old Tren Historico de Vapor. The journey departs from next to the bus station and heads east 40 kilometers to a small lake. An authentic Argentine Asado and Tango Show is offered as well.
Ice Skating
Located along the lakeshore, just below the Centro Civico. Not the biggest or smoothest ice rink ever, but glide-able never-the-less. Hours 11am-10pm.
Patagonia Museum
Located next to the Cento Civico, Museo de la Patagonia has information on the history of Patagonia as well as the animals.
Shopping for Local Handcrafts
There is an indoor space with over 50 local artist’s work on display. Corner of Villegas and Moreno, El Centro
Spa Day
There are many high-end hotels in the area that offer services to pamper yourself and wait out the rain.
Underground Caverns
15 miles east of Bariloche, is Cerro Leones and it’s underground caverns. Check out this unique and interesting part of Patagonia.

The ice rink is smaller than a hockey rink. I believe it is open year round.
