Trámite Update

As posted earlier this week, we have been waiting for our residency folder to arrive from Buenos Aires. Today we returned to migraciones (the immigration office) and sure enough the famous “expendiente” had arrived.
Sitting at her large, lawyer-like desk, the lady in charge looked over our paperwork for quite a while. Finally she told the guy at the counter to tell us to come back on Tuesday. He also told us that since our current residency doesn’t expire until later in March we have plenty of time.
So, the short of it is we are still “estamos en trámite”, but in a local kind of way.
