Another Amazing Trail

Well, the camping trip went off without a hitch. Once again the amazing natural setting of the Nahuel Huapi National Park, the lack of people deep within the forest and Bergen’s ability to stay strong (three weeks off his 14th birthday and cruising like a puppy) kept us smiling the entire time.
We headed out on the west side of the lake, on a trail that is seldom used (except by the cows and horses that are lucky enough to live out there). The old growth forest was barely touched by man beyond the campground where the trailhead was located. There was not a sign marking the entrance or pathway (that is until the second day or five hours in). And the environment had a special magical ambiance that is only found amongst landscapes untouched.
We found a great campsite on the beach. It truly was an unforgettable experience.
Next time though, I think we will go the entire distance of the singletrack — a five or six day excursion. We will just need to figure out who will be our boat taxi. Any ideas?
