Extensive Storm Damage

Well the Santa Rosa storm did her thing, a little too much so. The storm dropped over a foot of wet, heavy snow at our house. Many trees have fallen on the power cables. We are 48 hours without power, telephone, and soon to be water. No estimate on when service will be restored.

That is our excuse for missing yesterday’s post.

The ski report is reporting more than 3 meters of new snow, that’s 10 feet for you Americans!

Closer to the city center, the power was restored quickly. Further out to the west, things are more complicated. I drove around the Circuito Chico today and the carnage was pretty impressive.

There were many down trees and cables, it looked very much like a war zone.

More pictures of the damage can be found here.
