Argentine Senate Declares Obesity is a Disease

As reported by the Associated Press, the Argentine senate considers obesity to be a disease and should be treated and covered by health insurance.

In a country with very few overweight people, at least in comparison to back home in the States, I find this new “Obesity Law” very interesting.

Earlier this month, we posted that the president wants to decrimanlize drug use and offer treatment to overcome the addiction.

I believe these are great approaches to social issues. Getting to the core of the problem and trying to solve them is a wonderful approach and makes a lot of sense.
