More Condor Love
July 28th, 2008 Posted in day to dayWritten by Jamie
Shanie and I were on another standard sunset walk with the kids. We were talking about what to post on “LIP” tonight. I look over my shoulder and see a flying object. At first I thought it was one of the delayed Aerolineas Argentina flights incoming. After further review, it was the mighy condor sizing up the family.
Here are a couple clips.

I saw a condor over Cerro Otto when I was in Bariloche, just this massive bird soaring along the ridgeline and then it flew straight over the top of the restaurant at the top. It was an amazing sight, such an icon of the Andes.

We couldn’t view the Condor pics. But I wanted to share that flying into Bariloche last week on final approach, Debbie saw one – thought at first it was a small plane, ’till she saw the feathers!
