Sharing the Love
July 25th, 2008 Posted in day to dayWritten by Jamie
Our friends from San Rafael, Mendoza Province (chapter 1 of our lives in Argentina) came for a visit to enjoy their winter holiday. We took them skiing at Cerro Catedral today. Neither of the kids had ever skied before.
We outfitted them with some of our gear and they were ready to roll!
These guys are full troopers. They left at 4 in the morning the other night and drove non stop 14 hours in the fog just to get here.
It was pretty blustery today. Unfortunately, Ana la Madre, tweaked her knee a little on the poma and retired early, but was still excited to be slope side. They kids were pretty fearless and took some falls that looked like they hurt.
For Shanie and I, being in the mountains has always been where we feel most comfortable. It was an honor to share that environment with friends.
To la familia loca, gracias for a fun day!
