Change Shortage

As we have posted about earlier, there is a shortage of moneda in Argentina.

This afternoon at the local supermarket. Forget the coins, it’s all about the candy!

    Jaime, that photo is priceless! All over Latin America, the phrase “Tiene cambio?” seems to be endemic. Why is is so hard to manufacture coins? It’s not like they wear out. I’m going to Ecuador next month and apparently I need to load up my bag with U.S. change since they use the dollar.

    Unfortunately, in Brazil a lot of shops do the same…they just give you a little candy instead the real change…
