Health Insurance Update

As previously posted, we signed up for health insurance with OSDE a while back. I thought I would follow up and share my findings so far. I have had some tests done, as well as gone to the dentist and had X-Rays taken and have simply presented my card. I have not had to pay anything, no deductible, just a signature. The only thing I have had to pay for was a prescription, and as an OSDE member, I received a 40% discount. I have been very pleased with the health plan’s acceptance and ease of use. I wish my policy in the States would have been that easy.

OSDE is the BEST!!! I have had it since I first moved to Argentina. Love it!! Did you know that laser eye surgery is also FREE with OSDE? This may or may not be of interest to readers, but birth control pills are also covered by OSDE (free). Great health insurance! Why hasn’t the US come up with something like this?

Agree 100%! As far as the US and health care, I think that is a topic for another day:).

Can you give me information on how to sign up for OSDE health insurance? What is the monthly premium?
    Thanks
