Fundación Cruzada Patágonica Winter Gear Sale to Help Children

As we have mentioned before, one of our passions in life is helping the less-advantaged, especially children.
We have been pursuing creating a non-profit organization that helps lower income families access, experience, and, hopefully, identify with the natural environment. One of the parts to the program was winter gear that we and our Tahoe family donated to help keep people warm. We passed out many jackets in the last few years, but the jump into an actual non-profit was slow to take flight.
That is until we came across Fundación Cruzada Patágonica, a non-profit organization with thirty years under their belt, two progressive schools that house over 150 children and the educational curriculum needed to offer those youngsters tools for a positive future.
We had the pleasure of lunching with the president of the organization, Diego Baudo. A friendly, welcoming persona with a big smile, it is obvious by the enthusiasm in his eyes that he loves his job.
During the meeting we mentioned our winter gear drive and that we had a large box of nice equipment waiting for him in our truck. With our offering a partnership was made; we will continue to help bring in warm clothing and the foundation will sell gear that exceeds what is needed by the children and use the money to help with the school. The rest of the clothing will be given to the children. Excellent!
A couple of days ago we received word from Diego that the school is going to be holding a fair, offering some of the equipment to local winter enthusiasts.
The sale will be held on Saturday, August 1, beginning at 4pm at Tehuelche Indumentaria de Montaña, located at Trenca 12537, situated three blocks off of Bustillo KM 12.5.
Please contact via telephone at 462 992 for any further information or questions.
Hope to see you there!
