We have had some time to reflect back on our recent trip to Puerto Madryn and the Peninsula Valdes. What impressed us both the most was how close we were to experience unique animals and mammals in their natural habitat.
The southern right whales can be up to 60 feet long and weigh up to 130 tons. At high tide, they come really close to the beach.
Driving around the Peninsula Valdes, we saw all sorts of wild beings, such as mara, sheep, guanaco, fox and rhea.
We were lucky enough to receive the insider’s tip on where to view the Elephant Seals in their natural environment. It was so cool to hang out with the colony for awhile. Some of them are very personable.
The best part about this area is that each season, you can see different types of animals.
We will definetly be back!
