Welcome Home

Although it was a great week in Puerto Madryn — the interaction with animal life in their natural habitat was like nothing Jamie or I had ever experienced — it is always nice to be home.
Knowing that the dogs were ready to go for a good hike, we went for leisurely stroll up our favorite trail, Sendero Gnar Gnar.
Well, it seems that the condors wanted to welcome us back because they put on a little show for us.
While cresting a rock outcropping, I looked over my shoulder to see a mama condor taking flight from a cliff area next to us. She and her kiddo then decided to circle us.
Making pass after pass, they slowly worked there way over to us, allowing us to hear the wind flow through their feathers and see the evening light glisten off their jet black wings.
We think the condors were reminding us that nature can be seen first hand in this part of Patagonia as well!
