As we have talked about before, one thing that we love about Argentina is the entrepreneurialship.

We came across these traveling wicker salesmen offering their handmade basketweaving wares from Tigre, close to Buenos Aires on the delta.

Super friendly and ready for conversation, these two guys were obviously proud of their merchandise. They had everything from chairs to light fixtures, from clothes hampers to closet organizers, these guys had a full house’s worth of inventory in their medium size truck.

The goods were sold at a great price. It was a true win-win exchange. And I am glad that our traveling paths crossed.

Not only is our little studio getting an upgrade on it’s interior decoration, but we had the pleasure of meeting two men that put big smiles on our faces.

    Hello again,

Here is a phrase you can add to your Lunfardo Dictionary – Busca vida. It refers to that entrepreneurial spirt you mention above. When you see someone who comes up with creative ways of making a living, you say: Es re-busca vida. :-)
