A Birthday Road Trip
May 29th, 2009 Posted in travelWritten by Shanie
To celebrate both Jamie’s and my birthday this year, we decided to take a trip into areas of Patagonia we have yet to discover. To say the least — as I sit in our cute Esquel cabin rental that allows Bergen the Wonderdog — I am incredibly excited for the upcoming itinerary.
- walking amongst 2,500 year old trees…check.
- rubbing fins with 50 foot long Southern Right Whales…check.
- spending some quality time with a colony of Elephant Seals…check.
For a hint at some of the beauty from the trip thus far, a shot from Lago Gutierrez on the journey south this afternoon.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated with the adventures as they unfold…

Jamie, Another fantastic shot. Really incredible. Too bad that the kids are in school or we’d be down there all season enjoying the scenery.
