Done Deal, We Received Our Title!

As foreigners going through the purchase process in the famous “zona de seguridad”, we always believed this day would come.
Today, we signed our escritura, and the piece of paradise we have called home for 2 years is now officially ours!
It is interesting to note, we were very close to getting the final clearance under the old process. We had done our final fingerprints, which according to friends who just received their clearance, meant we were about to get the thumbs up.
But in the end, according to our escribano, it was the new resolution that was the clincher.
In any event, estamos listo and we are very pleased! It was definetly vale la pena!

The zona de seguridad is the land within approximately 100 km from the border with Argentina’s neighboring countries.
