Phrase of the Week

February 25th, 2009 Posted in phrase of the week

mirá vos: literally this means “look at you”. It is a common phrase said by Argentines when they are being told about something that you are doing, as the speaker, that they think is cool or great.

we say it in Chile, too (but it’s really mira, not mirá, here) but only to vaguely make fun (of Argentines, I suppose). Otherwise we’re just stuck with “mira tú,” which is not as much fun to say!

Love your photos. Will be back!
