Cosas Lindas

We were talking on our hike today about all the “cool things” Argentina has to offer, part of it’s allure, if you will.

For that reason, we have decided to create a new category, cosas lindas.

Here is the first installement, enjoy!

Refugio Negra Roca, located at 1,230 meters/4,035 feet, has a cozy, rustic feel and lots of “buena onda”.. This cool mountain hut is perched over Lago Moreno and has a commanding view of the Lakes district. They are open for lunch and occasionally for dinner and a live show.

The refugio can be accessed either by a steep 45 minute hiking trail on the way to Refugio and Cerro Lopez or it is possible to be driven up by the owner and operators of the Canopy company at the bottom of the hill (it is a private road and they are the only traffic allowed).
